So a few weeks back, as I tried to figure out how I could balance my hectic life and making sure I get back to giving you all so new content, I decided that having 2 blogs is too much.
While the two let me focus on separate topics without having too much overlap, I would find myself focusing on one blog more than the other… which of course meant less content for one group of followers. That just wasn’t fair.
In light of this, I have created a new blog to merge two two I’ve been running. I’m not switching up my focus too much. My cooking, diy, and fashion inspirations (among many others) come mostly from Pinterest and I spend hours browsing my favourite categories: Home Decor, Women’s Fashion, Food & Drink, Health & Fitness, DIY & Crafts, and Health & Beauty. Since my two blogs drew much of the content from Pinterest, it was easy to merge the two and I knew I HAD to have a reference to it in my blog name. And as some of you know, I’m a HUGE GEEK. Huge. So I wanted to make sure that was eluded to as well. Lastly, I love writing, so my blog name had to be fun, whimsical, and lyrical. So…
I’ve been waaaaaaay too busy lately… my new job does not leave me much time to kick back and relax (or think up posts!). So while the bit of bad news is that my original hope of getting in every office outfit on here won’t be happening, the good news is that I’ll have longer posts and I’ll be able to focus on one or two fabulous looks every week. Quality over quantity, am I right?
I’m also debating branching out my blog to be a bit more of everything I love to do… clothes, makeup basics, food, baby, home, etc. What’s happened over time is that I have two blogs, and neither one gets quite enough posts for my liking. If I do go that route, you’ll be the first to know.
Today was my last day with my current team; on Tuesday I will start a new job on a new team. I’m staying in the same organization, within the same overall group even, which means there will be times when I will see my old team again.
I wanted to have my “final impression” so to speak be classy but comfy, and I think I pulled it off. It’s one of the only outfits I’ve put together without using the StyleBook app in the past year, and I’m super proud of that.
I’ve been a bit MIA and I’m totally blaming that on two things: one, being in training (and therefore not in the office), and two, being sick.
Luckily it was business as usual today, and I took my inspiration for my outfit from one of the undisputed queens of classic style: Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge. Now I could spend hours gushing over her wardrobe, the causes she supposed, and pretty much everything about the British Royal Family ‘cus I’m a huge monarchist, but for now I’ll stick to copying those outfits that I can.
In other news, I thought I’d fully follow the popular crowd and grabbed a unicorn frappuccino from Starbucks today. I enjoyed it (after mixing the sour blue stuff into the pink), but it could have been better. Also, sour crystals on whipped cream are not a good idea. Opinions are divided on flavour, but you have to admit it’s just the prettiest thing in a cup to come out of a coffee shop. Probably ever.
